Lubbock Mobile Home Movers is a free referral service operated by Clearline Labs. We are not a mobile home mover and do not move, install or level homes. We pass your request to an independent, TDHCA-licensed mover, which quotes and does the work.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a mobile home moving company?

No. Lubbock Mobile Home Movers is a free referral service run by Clearline Labs. We don't own trucks, move homes, install or level them. When you send a request, we pass it to one independent, TDHCA-licensed mobile home mover serving Lubbock, and that company quotes and does the work.

Does it cost anything to use this site?

No. Asking for a quote here is free and there's no obligation to hire anyone. Clearline Labs may be paid by the mover for referrals; you never pay us.

How much does it cost to move a mobile home in Lubbock?

Texas cost data puts a local single-wide move (under 50 miles) at about $2,500 to $7,000 and a double-wide at about $6,000 to $12,000 for transport, before setup and site work [1]. One Texas mover's published sheet lists $2,500 single-wide and $5,000 double-wide including blocking, leveling and tie-down [3]. See the cost guide. Only the mover can give you a real price.

Does the mover need a license?

Yes. In Texas, anyone who installs or re-levels a manufactured home must be licensed and bonded by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) [7], and only a licensed installer may install, re-level or change the home's foundation [8]. Here's how to check a license in two minutes.

What permits are needed?

The mover gets a TxDMV manufactured housing single-trip permit ($40 per section) for the road move [5]. After the move, you apply to TDHCA for a new Statement of Ownership showing the new location, with a copy of the moving permit, and any lienholder must be paid off or consent in writing [8]. The installer reports the installation to TDHCA on Form T [9]. See permits and paperwork.

Can I move my own mobile home?

TxDMV allows an owner to move their own home if they're named on the title, own or lease the towing vehicle, and carry at least $300,000 combined single-limit liability insurance [6]. Installing or re-leveling it at the new site still requires a TDHCA-licensed installer [8].

Who will contact me?

One independent, TDHCA-licensed mover. We only share your request after you tick the consent box, and we share it with that one company, not a list.

What should I include in my request?

Where the home is and where it's going, single-wide or double-wide, the size (for example 16x76) and year if you know them, whether you need setup and leveling, and anything about access: gates, trees, soft ground, a tight turn into a park.
